3 Ply Disposable Face Mask
3 ply disposable face mask generally consists of non-woven fabric, melt-blown fabric, nose strips, ear bands. The main structure is three layers of non-woven fabric, also known as SMS "Sandwich" structure, that's why we call it 3 ply disposable face mask.
The difference between the layers and their functions are as follows:
- Inner "S" layer: ordinary spunbond non-woven fabric, mainly for moisture absorption;
- Outer "S" layer: It is a non-woven fabric with waterproof treatment, which is mainly used to isolate the liquid sprayed by the patient, which has the effect of preventing spray;
- Middle "M" layer: It is a melt-blown non-woven fabric after electret treatment, which can filter bacterial suspended particles, and is the most important core layer.
Therefore, the melt-blown fabric is the "heart" of the mask, used for the filter layer in the middle of the three-layer disposable mask, with good filtration, barrier, insulation, and adsorption properties.
